Welcome aboard – BARD is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarai Kemp as our new Business Development Manager. In this role, Sarai will lead efforts to strengthen BARD’s engagement with the private sector, identify opportunities for joint ventures, and advance the translation of innovative research into practical applications across agriculture, food, and nutrition.
Sarai holds an M.B.A. from the University of Haifa and brings over 15 years of experience in the Agri-FoodTech sector. She is widely recognized as an expert in agricultural innovation, with a distinguished background as a venture capital investor and strategic advisor. Her career has spanned work with startups, multinational corporations, and academic institutions, consistently promoting innovation, growth, and commercialization in the Agtech and Foodtech industries.
She brings particular expertise in fostering cross-border R&D partnerships that connect academia, startups, and industry. In her previous role at the Trendlines Agrifood Fund, Sarai spearheaded international collaborations and strategic partnerships with leading global corporations including Bayer, Mitsubishi, and Nutreco. She has also served on the Weston Foundation’s agriculture program judging committee and advised national consortiums uniting academia, industry, and NGOs to advance climate-resilient agriculture.
With her dual-market experience in Israel and the United States, coupled with her proven ability to guide academic research groups toward commercialization, Sarai is uniquely positioned to support and advance BARD’s mission in translating collaborative research into meaningful agricultural impact.
